Important Information

Some things to keep in mind:

The schedule:

  • Our summer camps run from 9am to 3pm and Andy Smith Equestrian Center, and 9am to 4pm at Andover Equestrian Center
  • In the mornings, the kids participate in their first ride of the day which is more like a lesson
  • In the afternoon the kids participate in a fun ride such as bareback or going out on the trails
  • When the kids are not riding, they are learning important parts about horse care or are creating fun horsey crafts
  • We also have a water day and a day where the kids get to paint the horses, followed by learning how to bathe a horse
  • On the last day, we have a pizza party at lunch and family and friends are invited to arrive early in the afternoon to see what their child learned over the week for their mini horse show

What (and who) to bring:

  • We welcome participants age 5 and older
  • All riders must wear hard-soled shoes (sneakers work well) and long pants (must come to the top of shoes), short tails are to be tucked in, and long hair needs to be tied back (helmets will be provided)
  • A change of clothes is advisable for activities later in the day
  • A liability waiver (available below) must be filled out on the first day of camp

Our facilities:

  • We have large, outdoor riding arenas and ample, scenic trails
  • A climate-controlled farmhouse is available at the Andover Equestrian Center to escape from the elements
